Search Almost Over For Shelter Land

The search may be almost over for viable land in Christian County. We are in the process of securing property and will have an announcement shortly.

The Board of Directors for the CCAS appreciates your patience and support during our search to find an area that will best suit the needs of the community.

Volunteers Needed

The CCAS is in the process of establishing an official volunteer program for the shelter. Information will be posted as it becomes available. We do need immediate help with fund raisers for the new building. Email us if you would like to help.

Volunteers will become very important to the animals at CCAS and vital to helping the CCAS achieve our goals. Once the shelter is built, you have the option of spending as little as 6 hours a month visiting the shelter or everyday! We can always use the help.

Volunteers assist Animal Care Staff by walking dogs, grooming animals, socializing cats, kittens and puppies and assisting where needed. Volunteers can also become Foster Parents for animals that have not yet been adopted. A Foster Parent's commitment can be anywhere from 2 - 10 weeks.
